The Centre for Autism provides high quality clinical services, a network for health and education professionals and a research hub. It also offers diagnostic services for individuals following evidence based practice, with assessment carried out by Dr Fiona Knott, a specialist clinical psychologist and Dr Tom Loucas, a speech and language therapist and follow-up support as required.

Assessments may be funded privately or through employing organisations. Tailored training and consultation is offered to businesses, schools, nurseries and voluntary sector organisations.

The Centre aims to facilitate the dissemination of evidence based practice by supporting a network for health and education professionals who work with individuals with autism spectrum disorders (ASD), including lectures, workshops and a special interest group in ASD. The Centre also brings together academics and professionals involved in research in ASD at the University of Reading and in the region.
